There’s Room for All Ages Here

Christ City Kids

We are committed to creating a safe, clean, and fun environment for our children to encounter the life-transforming power of the gospel, while simultaneously equipping parents to lead their children.

Our nursery volunteers will make church a happy, clean, and safe place to learn biblical truths. They will help children begin to understand:

God is creator, giver of all good things;
Jesus is God’s son and our best friend; the
Holy Spirit is our helper; and the
Bible is a special collection of books and letters that tell about experiences with God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit.

Godly Play

Godly Play takes place during our main worship service and offers children a creative, contemplative way to encounter God.

Inspired by Montessori principles and grounded in more than 40 years of research and practice, Godly Play invites children to listen to sacred stories, wonder, play, create, and make meaning for themselves. Rather than telling children exactly what to believe, we give them space to discover and experience God through Scripture, symbols, stories, and reflection.

Godly Play values openness, discovery, relationships, community, and wonder. Children are invited to connect biblical stories with their own experiences and to grow in faith through imaginative play and creative response.

Our Godly Play rhythm:

  • Crossing the Threshold — gathering and preparing ourselves

  • The Story — listening to a sacred story

  • Response Time — reflecting through art and play

  • The Feast & Sharing — enjoying a snack and conversation together

  • Dismissal — preparing to return to worship

Gravity Student Ministry

What is Gravity?

Gravity is CCC’s youth program for students in sixth through twelfth grade. Gravity meets every other Sunday morning during the service.

What Happens During Gravity

Gravity begins with a snack, a game, and time for kids to catch up with each other. Next is a lesson aligned with the sermon and other scriptures used during worship that morning. We use a youth lectionary curriculum designed to help young people explore and live out their faith in meaningful, transformative ways.

The whole group joins the congregation for communion and our final worship songs!

Leaders and Parent Volunteers

The leaders of gravity are young adults and parents of children in gravity who have all had current background checks and training in Ministry Safe.
