Sustainability Ministries

Part of our faith is remembering that we are stewards of what we have. How we use, reuse, share and give away what we own creates a more sustainable community and helps us to take seriously our responsibility of creating a more just world.

As we practice sustainability, women are gathering for clothing swaps a few times a year. In Walker Hall, volunteers have curated a lending library and a puzzle library. Other volunteers have created a Buy Nothing GroupMe where exchanges are happening daily. We also have a Children’s Clothing Exchange where parents can donate and collect clothes as their children grow. Our Clothes Closet is open every Tuesday night during our Soup Kitchen for guests to get what they need.

In these ways we hope to share our areas of plenty and carry one another's burdens.
