Story Groups
Know and Be Known
Story Groups are led by Christ City men and women with the purpose of gathering to hear stories, share stories, and live stories as we remember our identities in Christ. These groups are 6-12 people who meet three to four times a month. Please fill out the form below to join a Story Group.
Spring 2024 Story Groups
Bookish with Brenda
Location: Central Gardens Leader: Brenda Clay
Gathering Time: First Tuesday of each month, 7:00 pm Availability: 5

Women’s Story Group
Location: Midtown/East Memphis Leader: Kelsey Patterson & Jenny Barrett
Gathering Time: Thursday, 6:30-8:00 pm Availability: 0 spots

This group will move through units of spiritual practices, the Sabbath study, and the book “Feminist Prayers For My Daughter.”
Men’s Group
Location: Midtown Leader: Matt Hernandez
Gathering Time: Every other Thursday, 6:30-7:30am Availability: 2 spots open

The group will focus on working on the 8 Practices in tandem with the sermon series on the 8 Practices over the course of the semester.
Hanson’s Story Group
Location: Downtown Leaders: Chris & Linda Hanson
Gathering Time: Mondays, 6:30pm Availability: 1 spot

Our group focuses on supporting each other individually and discussing the reconstruction of our ideas about doctrinal issues like sin, atonement, prophecy, the afterlife, and similar casual dinner conversation topics.
Martin’s Story Group
Location: East Memphis/Sea Isle Leaders: Brandon & Stacie Martin
Gathering Time: Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 pm Availability: 0 spots

We are a group of families that meets on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30. We share a meal and check in with each other over dinner, kids included! We focus on supporting each other and making space for each person to be known through intentional conversation. Every fourth week, we take a break or meet up for an optional leisure activity like playing at a park or supporting a local restaurant.
Best’s Story Group
Location: Binghampton Leaders: Robert & Mandy Grisham; Andrew & Cara Best
Gathering Time: Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00pm Availability: 6 spots
